Big Brain Games

Big Brain Games is a Brooklyn based Trivia and game app that is rapidly growing and adding more game modes each month. Think HQ trivia if it went right.

The Problem

Although Big Brain has some branding work done as far as identity and logo - it lacked implementation of any ownable brand and what little creative they had for ads and social media was lackluster due to lack of creative resource.

The Solution:

Over the course of 2021, we have been working with the Big Brain Team to develope a brand look and feel throughout multiple creative units, ads, game app icons, and social post templates.

TV Advertisement

In order to grow the app’s user base further to a wider audience , we created a television ad to be run on network TV as well as connected TV’s (Apple tv, Roku etc.) We A/B tested 3 versions to reach a final best performing version.
This Creative was then resized to square 9:16, 5:4 sizes and ran on instagram, Tik-Tok, Google UAC, Facebook etc.

Social and Email Assets

We focused our short form and static assets on socials and email, creating weekly assets to use across all socials to announce the theme of the week as well as new game modes like the above introduction to blocks. We also used some of the more interesting trivia facts that Big Brain has amassed to create a series of highly engaged motion graphics social “fun facts”

Website Re-Design

The App relies upon understanding and trust, and Big Brain’s existing site could do a much better job on both of those areas.
We re-designed the site from the ground up using Squarespace so that it would be easily editable by staff without design knowledge. This helped keep things clean and straightforward for users, so a total win-win.

APP STORE SCREENS

Ask any app developer and they can talk your ear off about how important app store screens are.
As we continued to grow and develop the brand and core product over 2023;
The app store screens they were using began to convert less and less and make less sense.
I created and A/B tested a number of app store screens, ultimately landing here, which yielded a 9-10% increase in conversions.
